How I'll work with you
- First we'll talk about your manuscript: genre, length, and stage (first draft, just needs a quick polish, or somewhere in between). Based on that, I'll recommend a level of editing that I think will be most helpful.
- I'll do a quick sample edit, normally the first 1,000 words for any work over 30,000 words total. If you like what I did, and if I think you'll benefit from my services, we'll find an open slot on my calendar and seal the deal.
- I do require a deposit of one third of the estimated total (based on word count). This locks in your project on my calendar. The remainder is to be paid upon completion of the first round edit.
- I include a second round read-through as part of every edit. This is not a substitute for a proofread, but more to check any added material or revisions and that corrections didn't accidentally introduce errors. I highly recommend a separate proofreader for indie authors.
